League Details
This 9-hole event is conducted on the Braemar Championship Course Tuesday’s beginning in early May, and continuing for 20 weeks. The top 8 teams will compete in the play-offs, and continue for three weeks with the Championship and third place matches being the season finale. It is an event for BMC players of any skill level.
Tee times will begin at 3:00pm every Tuesday, and continue until 4:20pm. Play will alternate between holes 1-9 and 10-18 each week.
For this league we register individually and 4 member teams are created BY THE LEAGUE COORDINATORS. REQUESTS TO PLAY ON THE SAME TEAM WITH A BUDDY WILL BE CONSIDERED AND, IF HANDICAPS ALLOW, WILL BE HONORED. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR SPECIAL REQUEST TO THE COORDINATORS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
The format is Match Play, utilizing full 9-hole handicaps (maximum 17 strokes). Six points are available for each match. Player A from one team plays against player A from the other team. Player B vs. player B. Two points to the winner, one point to each player in the event of a tie. The team that wins the most holes get the two points for a win, or one each in the event of a tie.
The schedule and team make up will be created and distributed by April 1. This is a PrePay League at Braemar. Information will be distributed to team captains to inform team members how much is owed. The PrePay covers green fees only. Cart rental must be paid at the Pro Shop each week.
There is also a limitation of 72 players (18 teams of 4), so prompt entry is to your benefit. Each player should play 10 times during the regular season. Any entries after the limit is reached will be put on a sub list. Any BMC member can sub.
