Earlier this month The Virtual 19th Hole reported on the results of two of our traveling teams, the 16-Man Team and the 8-Man Senior Team. Our third traveling team is the Metro Seniors Team.
Our Metro Seniors squad has now completed the first half of their season. To date, they have played seven out of a scheduled 14 matches and are 4 and 3. Ten of 13 team members have won at least one match so far: Bob Malby, Bob Peterson, Chip Fuhrmann, Greg Baron, Jack Hughes, Jim Punch, John Miller, Marty Weber, Scott Eckes and Steve Tanner.
The 8-Man Senior Team, as last reported, had won their first three matches of the year. Now, after beating Baker National in an away match, they are 4 & 0. Our 8-Man Team now heads into their next match against Meadowbrook, also currently 4 & 0, already guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.
Kudos to all our traveling team players and especially to the 8-Man Team for their stellar play this summer!
