Sue Windham, wife of Rick Windham, a longstanding BMC member and a past BMC president, recently passed away. On behalf of the entire BMC, our thoughts go out to Rick and the entire family. Sue’s obituary, as printed in the Star Tribune, follows:

Sue Windham loving wife of Rick & mother of three girls has passed away. She was born on 12/05/1942 in Anita, Iowa and was the fifth of seven children. She was preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Dolores Parkinson and her sister Patricia Richtsmeier. She is survived by 5 brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. Sue loved telling stories about growing up on a farm, going to a one room schoolhouse and visiting her relatives nearby. Sue attended the University of Iowa and graduated with a degree as a Medical Technologist. On September 4th, 1965 she married Rick Windham and they had three girls; Catherine (David) Taylor, Monica (James) Dombrowski, and Carrie (Chris) Smith. She had 8 grandchildren Madeline, Patrick, Charles, Molly, Warren, George, Joseph, and Charlotte. She worked in several medical labs but as she had children served as a full time mom, was a wonderful cook, had very creative hobbies and loved to host family events. Funeral Service will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church (St. John campus: 6 Interlachen Rd. Hopkins) on Wednesday, May 26th at 1:00 PM with a review at 12:00 noon.
